Ihrebaden Vandrarhem

Hostel | Situated 30 km north of Visby lies this charming accommodation only 40 meters from the beach. Ihreviken comprises of an attractive 2 km long bathing beach bordering Gotland’s largest nature reserve.
A favourite place to enjoy half-way to Fårö.

Exclusive Ihreviken is first of all an old summer resort for private living with many summerhouses hidden amongst the vast strand forest. Ihrebaden is the only public establishment in this area founded mid 30’s, originating from an old fishing cottage from 1890’s which now serves as a part of the hostel. Ihrebaden with its restaurant, hostel and modern service house is beautifully situated close to the old fishing village. The bay is framed by high limestone cliffs and a beautiful 2 km long sand beach.

We are sorry to announce that the RESTAURANT was burned down last July. We are sorry to say that it can not rebuilt in time for the summer of 2018.

For our hostel guests we have our kitchen in the service house for making your food.

The HOSTEL consist of 12 rooms or 28 beds. The rooms are rather small and extra beds are not possible. Most rooms have its own sun deck with seaview. Non-smoking rooms.

A modern service house with fully equipped kitchen, showers and toilets. TV and free internet.

Seasons
Low season is before and after these dates. During the low season guests are requested to bring their own food for cooking in the servicehouse kitchen. Nearest food store is Tempo in Stenkyrka, 5 km direction Visby.

Rooms rate are without linen but can be hired at reception or book it on-line" to be sure.

Activities:

Your stay at Ihrebaden and Ihreviken will be devoted to beach life and nice walks in the nature. We have the vast nature reservation of Hall-Hangvar and also numerous historical sites from the stone age and later. Through the area we have the unique Ire creek with wild salmon and an interesting fauna.

There is no camping or “amusement park ” close to Ihrebaden and the seaside area. For those looking for family entertainment in the neighbourhood we can recommend Ihre Gård ( Farm) 1 km inland with its variety of activities such as horse riding, mini golf and animals. We also have within a distance of 4 km inland, Mix Ranch with many sporty activities like Soccer Golf, swimming pools and Caravan camping.
