Muramaris is located by the sea with wonderful nature all around. The magnificent villa and baroque-inspired garden were built by Ellen and Johnny Roosval in 1915. Johnny was Sweden's first professor of art history and his wife Ellen, née von Hallwyl, was a sculptor and musician. 
The villa was ravaged by fire in January 2013, but the extensive work on the renovation continues. The wing building, Ellen's studio and the garden with sculptures survived without damage.
 
In the scenic area there are some nice modern cottages for guest accommodation. The cottages have beds and equipment for 6 people. A patio with simple outdoor furniture and a charcoal grill is available at each cottage.
 
Enjoy the immediate nature, hear the birdsong and experience the enchantingly beautiful sunsets.
Muramaris is open all year round.
