Visby Strandby is located along the seafront promenade in northern Visby, with the sea and swimming just outside the campsite and the medieval city wall within comfortable walking distance. Enjoy the camping lifestyle, the sea and Gotland’s beautiful sunsets – while Visby’s restaurants, shopping, attractions and nightlife are all within easy walking distance.

Camping, Cabins and Glamping
Visby Strandby offers accommodation for different ways of enjoying your holiday. There are pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents, as well as cabins and glamping tents in a range of sizes and with different facilities.
Choose anything from a simple camping stay with easy access to our service buildings to cabins with their own kitchen, toilet and shower. The description of each accommodation clearly explains what is included and which facilities are available.
 
Service Buildings
Our service buildings are conveniently located throughout the campsite. Here you will find toilets, showers and communal kitchens with cooking facilities. The service buildings also have laundry facilities with washing machines and tumble dryers, available for an additional charge. Shower time is included according to the terms for each camping pitch or accommodation. Additional shower time can be purchased if required.
 
Restaurant with Sea Views
During the high season, our own summer restaurant next to reception is open, offering uninterrupted views of the sea.
Start your morning with freshly baked bread and coffee. Later in the day, we serve food and drinks – a great place to relax after a day at the beach, exploring Visby or discovering Gotland, and enjoy the evening with views of the sea and sunset.
 
Sea, Swimming and Visby
The beach, swimming jetties and seafront promenade are just outside the campsite. Start your day with a morning swim, take a walk along the sea or simply enjoy being close to the water.
In the other direction, Visby awaits. The medieval city wall is approximately 1 km away, and from there you can continue straight into Visby’s charming streets, restaurants, shops and attractions. Our convenient location makes it easy to leave the car behind and explore Visby on foot or by bicycle.
 
Good to Know About Our Location
Visby Strandby is a city campsite by the sea. Being close to both Visby and the seafront promenade is a big part of the experience, but it also means that the surroundings are different from those of a campsite in the countryside.
The promenade just outside the campsite is used by pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles, and particularly during the summer there are plenty of people out and about in and around Visby. Some traffic and noise from the surrounding area should therefore be expected.
 
Smoke-free
Visby Strandby is a smoke-free site. Smoking is not permitted inside the cabins, on verandas or anywhere else within the site grounds.
Anyone wishing to smoke must do so outside the site grounds.
 
Age Requirements
A minimum age of 18 applies throughout the site, and identification is checked for all staying and camping guests at check-in.
During week 29, stricter age requirements apply. The person responsible for the booking must be at least 25 years old and must stay in the booked accommodation or on the camping pitch for the entire duration of the booking.
