Hotel | Welcome to our hotel in central Visby. Hotel Villa Borgen is located on Adelsgatan in the Hanseatic city, i.e. inside the wall, close to everything Visby has to offer in the form of shopping, entertainment, attractions, cafés and restaurants.

The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet courtyard. The hotel has grown gradually over a number of decades and therefore no two rooms are the same.

The hotel consists of ten double rooms, two family rooms, three single rooms and a mini suite. In the main part of the hotel there is also a stately apartment on the second floor. Of the total 17 rooms, none of the two rooms are alike, each room has its own unique character. Click on each room category to read more. Each room, regardless of category, offers a minibar, desk, armchair and TV with SVT1, SVT2, TV4, TV6, Kunskapskanalen and SVT24.
Breakfast buffet, cleaning and wireless internet are of course included in the room price.
Things to keep in mind when booking:
Parking is available subject to space in the courtyard (entrance after Indiska), pre-booked for SEK 150 per day. Please note that the hotel is located on a pedestrian street, guests are allowed to enter. Just outside the wall, 5 min walk from the hotel, there are large parking lots where you can pay a fee if our courtyard should be full. The hotel does not have a lift. Unfortunately, we do not accept pets. A few rooms have slightly smaller bathrooms with so-called. Stockholm shower, i.e. folding wall where shower and sink are combined.
At the facility there is an 18-year age limit, ID checks are done on all residents at check-in, people 18-24 years old can pay a deposit that is returned at check-out if no mishaps have occurred during their stay. The facility requires that all guests maintain good order and that a pleasant and calm environment is maintained. When booking infants 0-2 years, the child must be specified when searching, however, the booking does not refer to their own bed but a bed in the parent's bed.
The reception is happy to help with booking a table at one of Visby's many restaurants, give tips on attractions and activities, help with taxis, rental cars, rental bikes, etc. Journals and books are of course available to borrow.
A breakfast buffet is included in the price for all rooms at Villa Borgen, but is not included for apartments in annexes. The breakfast buffet is served in the main building with views of the street life of Adelsgatan. Breakfast is served every day from 7 am to 10 am. Breakfast is made from local products. On the buffet there is coffee, tea, juice, O'boy, freshly baked bread, hard bread, yogurt, sour cream, cereal, muesli, cold cuts (cheese/ham/sausage/tomato, cucumber and or peppers), Kalle's caviar, fruit. Variations depending on the season may occur. No hot dishes except boiled eggs are served.
Are you gluten or lactose intolerant? Please state this on the booking so that we have time to prepare the right diet for you. If you depart by early ferry, tell us the day before and we will solve the breakfast issue for you.
The hotel does not accept cash payments from 2015.
