Gangvidefarm Bed & Breakfast
Bed & Breakfast | At the Gangvidefarm we can offer various types of accommodation and breakfast in rooms, cottages and caravans with a lot of nostalgic feeling, beautifully situated on the farm next to the river Närsån. Ducks and chicken roam freely on the premises where there is also a soccer goal and horses in a paddock. A modern service house is provided with shower and toilet facilities, a kitchen, a barbecue and outdoor furniture. There is also a Tourist information and a breakfast café.
Accomodation is found in everything from modern cottages with 7 beds, rooms in the horses stable, rooms in the wing of our main building to caravans with a nostalgic feel from the 60’s.
When staying at the Gangvidefarm you are welcome to participate in farm activities - you may wish to feed the small animals, pet the horses or look into the garage or enjoy a little nostalgia among vinyl records or other various other collections of gadgetry.
Within a distance of 2 km you will find a sandy beach, an 18 hole golf course, a well stocked ICA grocery store, bicycle rental, a chocolate factory, the Amphitheater of Närsakar, the “Linnaeus Trail” footpath and a sports area with tennis court.
In our nearest surroundings we find one of the most interesting bird conservation areas of Eastern Sweden. There are two observation towers within 2 - 3 km, offering multiple viewing points.
Our service building has a section for Tourist information for the entire island of Gotland where you can get hints on excursions to make, perhaps to little gems bypassed by others. There are also toilet and shower facilities and a kitchen, barbecue and outdoor furniture for our guests. You may choose to start your day with a hot cup of coffee - or you may prefer to enjoy our breakfast buffet, seated on the quay - a good start to the day that gives you energy for your excursions or other activities.
The Gangvidefarm is located near the South Eastern coast of Gotland, about a 50 minutes drive from Visby and 20 minutes from Hemse. Should you arrive by bus, please contact us in advance so we can come and pick you up at the bus stop at Ethelhem’s Church.
