Summer is approaching, and with it the booking for the accommodation opens, which takes Gotland's seaside feeling to a whole new level. Welcome to SuderReef – Sweden's very first underwater hotel, located on the southern coast of Gotland. An experience out of the ordinary awaits here, where you literally live under the surface with the quiet movement of the sea as your nearest neighbor.

The Turbot Suite – close contact with the depths of the Baltic Sea
Our largest suite, inspired by Gotland's most exclusive fish - the turbot, offers a 360° panoramic view straight out into the blue depths of the Baltic Sea. Here you get the chance to wake up to gliding schools of fish, seaweed dancing in the current – and with a little luck, a curious seal might pop in. The room is decorated in muted natural tones with inspiration from Gotland's limestone and the sea's colour shifts.

Good to know:
SuderReef is scheduled to open in summer 2026 with a limited number of nights available for the first season. Check-in takes place on land in Burgsvik, after which a short boat ride takes you out to the hotel's diving station. The accommodation is suitable for adults and children over 12 years old. Diving experience is not a requirement – but curiosity is a must.
