“Fantastisk säng i det fina rummet jag fick. Hög och bred, som tur var fanns det en bred pall för att komma i och ur sängen. Frukosten var god med allt som man kan tänkas vilja ha. Tyvärr hade den restaurang som skulle finnas i hotellet stängts vilket var mycket tråkigt eftersom det hade varit ett av mina kriterier för valet av hotell.”

“Pga problem på hotellet, fick vi en ersättningslägenhet. Den hade inte samma standard som hotellet, men var mycket rymlig och hade en fin terrass. Vid detta besök i Visby var det helt ok för oss och vi uppskattade mycket att hotellet kompenserade oss med en middag. Samtlig personal ska ha en eloge för mycket trevligt bemötande. De gjorde allt för att vi skulle trivas - trots att vi fick flytta på oss.”

“Donners Hotell in Visby, Gotland was a delight! The communication with the staff was very good, especially when we had a late arrival, which fell after their service desk closed for the evening. The instructions given (by email) to get to our room was very precise, and we had no problems. Our biggest complaint, but by no means one which would preclude our staying there again, was that our room - 2-bedroom apartment actually! - was on the third floor with no elevator. So lugging suitcases and such was difficult. But the fact that we had SO much space, and only had to rent one room for 3 adults made up for the inconvenience. My only other issue, not really with the hotel but the city, was that it was a bit difficult finding one's way around all the little streets - some one way, some under construction - to find parking for the night. Again, not enough to not stay again, but lessons learned about going to a new place. Breakfast (included with the room) was typically European - buffett, with lots of choices. Most of the food was decent. Our only complaint - and not just with this hotel but ALL hotels we stayed in on this trip - is that when they prepare scrambled eggs for the breakfast, they are NOT DONE WELL ENOUGH. They use a commercial egg product which contains milk, but if not cooked through, makes it very liquid/mushy - not palatable at all. All the other food was decent and reasonably prepared. ”

“Bra och okomplicerat bemötande av personal.Skön säng. Saknde ac på rummet dock. Frukost: Gott och lagom. Fint bröd. Men kanske helt oerfaren personal; har aldrig sett så dåligt skurna grönsaker. Gurkan var centimetertjock och paprikanvar grovt skuren och låg framme med kärnhus och allt.”
